Sr. Statistical Programmer

We are looking for talented senior-level clinical statistical programmers to join our team at one of our following facilities: Ann Arbor, MI, Austin, TX, Cary, NC, Cincinnati, OH, Eden Prairie, MN, Lenexa, KS, Lexington, KY, San Diego, CA, or Waltham, MA.
Sr. Statistical Programmers lead the development and maintenance of analysis programs to support clients' drug development projects, lead the communication of technical issues with lead client staff and internal team staff, and contribute to internal technological advances.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads the implementation of data listing, summary, and graphs for inclusion in new drug applications (NDAs)
- Contributes to the development of and training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develops software for standard operating systems
- Provides technical consult on clients’ needs to i3 Statprobe Operations staff
- Troubleshoots as required for staff and clients regarding specific programming concerns
- Reviews listing, summary, graph, and tabulation specifications
- Provides secondary review of statistical programming deliverables
- Develops standard programming procedures
- Supports programming needs within i3 Statprobe Operations.
Qualifications:
Education:

• BA or BS in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or information technology.

Experience:

• At least four years programming experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Extensive knowledge of SAS required and knowledge of SQL, C, C++, Pascal, or other high-level 3rd or 4th generation languages is preferable.
• Exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology or device industry is required.
• Experience with project management, client communication, biostatistics and pharmacokinetics a plus.

Principal Statistical Programmer

The Principal Statistical Programmer must ensure that activities and processes performed are conducted according to UHG and sponsor requirements. This position works closely with the Biostatistics and Data Management departments on various clinical projects.

• Leads programming efforts for large complex studies.
• This position requires time and resource management skills, and strong SAS programming expertise, and experience with pharmaceutical studies. Act as a representative of the Biostatistics department on project teams. Attend project team meetings as necessary.
• Perform all SAS programming required for clinical trial analysis and reporting.
• Provide statistical programming expertise for project teams.
• Generate tables, listings, and graphs as required.
• Assist with statistical quality assurance review and program validation for each project.
• Interact with other departments, such as Clinical Operations and Project Management, to ensure a high level of client satisfaction through successful execution of projects.
Education:
• B.S. degree required, M.S. degree preferred.
Experience:
• A minimum of ten years of experience in SAS programming for pharmaceutical projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Computer proficiency is mandatory.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Demonstrated ability to perform statistical programming for all types of clinical trials.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Possess a positive attitude and works well with others.

The Manager of Statistical Programming directs staff on specific projects and facilitates communication between clients and staff.
