PROJECT MANAGER - Yield Management Analytics
Location - Riverwoods, IL
Description - Responsible for yield management analysis and modeling.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Support financial forecasting processes
• Manage, refine, and interpret sales forecasting diagnostic system developed by Quantec
• Develop enhanced forecasting models for various financial metrics at different levels of disaggregating
2. Provide focused product management for analysis and tracking of key financial measures
• Establish rigorous tracking mechanisms for key metrics like net yield spread with suitable account segmentation
• Assist Yield Management team with timely, insightful management reporting on key metrics and trends
3. Undertake high-profile strategic analyses related to yield management
• Provide quick turnaround on top management requests
• Manage efforts of more junior analysts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Master or PhD’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Management, Econometrics, etc., or the equivalent in training and experience.
• Credit card or similar industry consumer research experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Extensive project management and leadership skills.
• Minimum of two years post academic work experience performing applied statistical analysis and modeling or research design using statistical software and other analytical tools in mainframe, UNIX or PC environments.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Highly developed written and oral communications skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment.

Project Manager - Discover

PROJECT MANAGER- Discover Business Card Analytics
Location - Riverwoods, IL
Description - Responsible for providing analytical and modeling support to assist Marketing Managers achieve their volume and profitability goals for Discover Business Card. Track, analyze and evaluate campaigns and make recommendations to improve effectiveness. Consults on improving current and/or develop new strategies with business partners. Develop and assist in implementation of statistical segmentation and models. Manages a team of 2-3 analysts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Works with business partners to prioritize and distribute projects to analysts. Manages the workload of the team members and communicates project status to marketing managers.
• Consults with Business Partners on any strategic issues. Operates as subject matter expert related to statistics and profitability analysis.
• Advises on test designs and selection criteria for various campaigns. Ensures readable results.
• Oversees the reporting, analysis and evaluation of marketing initiatives. Compares champion and challenger cells. Makes recommendations based on the analysis.
• Develop statistical models and assist Marketing Managers in using these models to improve targeting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• A college degree in business, statistics, or other quantitative fields a must. MBA or MA preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in the credit card, direct mail or financial services industry. A strong background in statistical analysis and modeling. Supervisory experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Extensive project management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
• Experienced with SAS or similar statistical software packages, preferably in Unix and PC environments. Knowledge of batch and on-line processing required.
