Job Description:
Aquent has a client in the Alpharetta, GA area with tremendous growth and they are in need of 2 Statistical Project Directors. Our client offers a competitive salary along with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and executes statistical analyses to meet statistical project design goals, including client and third party data preparation, data quality and consistency checking, and development of predictive models with a focus on insurance risk.
Sets and meets analysis timeframes and deadlines. Creates and presents results of analyses to Manager and/or internal stakeholders and to the client. Provides written follow-up on client comments and suggestions, and strives for client satisfaction with delivered reports and models. Creates and presents statistical design logic, as well as model development and model implementation specifications for client audits. Escalate to management any internally or externally imposed delays which may affect time schedule.
Translates initial and ongoing/updated client objectives into a workable research design that optimally combines the data/analytical services offered.
Follows technical guidance on statistical project design and methodology issues to achieve valid and statistically defensible results.
Plans and tracks all projects. Analyzes and assesses the value of internal and external data elements which support risk segmentation. Interfaces with systems and production personnel to assure timely, accurate production of datasets, programming variables, and implementation of models.
Provides to internal and external clients, on a consulting basis, advice regarding strategies, implementation, proper uses, and or limitations of CPS data and our analytical products and services.
Provides support to other team members.
Keeps abreast of industry trends which may involve occasional attendance at industry workshops. Helps increase awareness of analytic and data solutions in the industry.
Knowledge and Skills
Required Skills:
Masters Degree in appropriate discipline (e.g. Math, Applied Math, Operations
Research, Decision Science, Actuarial Science).
3 years experience building predictive models for business applications, using SAS or
comparable software.
Good Verbal and Written Communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
-Insurance experience desirable
-Extensive SAS experience including macros on UNIX and Mainframe; JCL experience.
